Please note that the Green bus will not be running on Monday. The Red bus will not be running on Monday and Tuesday.

Don't forget that next Friday is Business Day.  Students should bring the supplies needed to open their store on Friday. Students are allowed to create a store sign to hang in front of their desk (optional). I encourage students to bring a small shopping bag to use to hold all of the things they buy at their classmates' stores.  Please let me know if you have any questions or your child needs anything before Business Day. This will be a fun and educational experience for all students.

We are still low on tissues. If you are able, please send in any extra tissues or sanitizer to help us stay healthy through the last few weeks of school. Thank you for your help!

Math: We completed the Math MSTEP this week.  We also practiced finding fractions of a set.  Ask your child how many eggs are in half a dozen. What about a third of a dozen?

Reading: We read about earthquakes, landslides, and other landform changing processes. We practiced synthesizing information.

Writing: We began to create our own poetry books.  The books will have examples of rhyming, alliteration, similes, and other figurative language.

Social Studies:  We read about Michigan's important economic activities.  These include agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism.

Spelling:  Click HERE to view the spelling list for May 5th-9th. The focus for this list is words with the -en suffix.
